To see a world in a grain of sand
Welcome
Welcome to a glimpse of my interests and curiosities. Earth enthralls me with its stories across space and time. The rise and fall of mountains, the passage of seas and sands are written in the incomplete pages of Earth's history in a language geologists endeavor to understand. The disciplinary crossover from geology to chemistry, and physics, and biology weave ever more tales that connect to our own story on this planet, an anthology of evolution, of climate, and of change.

I am a geologist who reads through the lens of chemistry. I work on continental margins, where most humans live, reconstructing climate variability, rainfall, and water resources. From the tropics to the poles I have enjoyed researching Earth's stories, and there is always another chapter to discover.
